Every piece of software, every application and that includes browsers are designed by programmers. Each programmer has his own ideas as to how things should work. Each browser is designed to work a certain way.
Because they are different, your work will appear differently in each one. For this reason it is always a good idea to have several browsers loaded on your computer. Check your work in no less than IE and Firefox.
Remember, your sites are also going to appear differently on each monitor. You cannot control other people's settings.
