Author
One who writes articles. In a Joomla site, an author is one who can access functions from the front end, write articles and submit them to a site. Usually one would have to register or apply to be an author to a web site. In most cases they would be moderated until the owner or web master of the site can see the author produces good and relevant content for the site.
